When Bill Gorton joined KWC Midwest in early 2015, he already had over 25 years of experience related to commercial real estate. He has worn may hats along the way in his roles as a broker, as corporate real estate executive, as a consultant and as a commercial lender. With a focus on representation and development in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area, and throughout Minnesota, Bill is a member of the Specialty Property Services Group, and works with a wide range of clients including retail companies, tenants, owners, investors and entrepreneurs. He is a skilled negotiator and project manager, coordinating multiple resources from project start through completion. In the process, Bill has addressed such sensitive matters as historical preservation, environmental concerns, public financing and subsidies, eminent domain and more.

2003-2007: One of the Really Smart and Experienced People with Lots of Answers at McComb Group, Ltd.; A consulting group with focus on Retail, Real Estate, and Market Research Consulting for developers, investors, retail companies, as well as state and local government in such matters as Market Research and Future Demand Forecasts, Financial Feasibility, Market Development Strategies, Economic Impact Assessments, and Litigation Support.

2002-2003: Redmond Company; Providing consulting, design & construction services to financial, commercial, retail and grocery clients, including real estate development services, plus market and demographic analyses.

2000-2001: Stearns Bank, NA; VP Commercial. Originated loans within targeted business segments, with an emphasis on SBA or USDA Guaranteed Loan Programs.

1978-2000: Real Estate and Development Executive in the Supermarket Industry; Handled real estate and store development for a number of Retail Supermarket and Grocery Wholesale companies, developing new retail centers, supermarkets, drug stores, liquor stores, gasoline and other related retail businesses in 14 states throughout the upper Midwest. Bill identified, evaluated, and secured expansion opportunities, formulated budgets and secured funding; negotiated leases and purchase agreements, and supervised property management, store planning and design, engineering and construction services.
